We are a mobile makeup artist service that services the entire Canberra (ACT) region and surrounding NSW regions including Queanbeyan, Bungendore, Braidwood, Yass, Murrumbateman, and Goulburn.

Proudly supporting our local community as a small Canberra business since 2007.

We have a basic callout charge of $65 for last minute bookings (Bookings confirmed within a 24 – 48 hr window the event) on top of our standard service charges and the non-refundable deposit which secures your booking/products.

Naturally, this additional callout charge is to cover the cost of last minute organising, reprioritising business activities, and travel charges from any location that we may need to factor in based on our existing schedule. 

However, If your booking is made well in advance of the event date we charge a flat $25 dollar travel charge for ACT events on top of our standard service charges and the standard non-refundable deposit.

Whereas, an event scheduled outside of Canberra, would incur a 0.88c per KM fee. For example, 90 kms from Canberra CBD would incur a $79.20 travel fee.

Generally, we see more demand for our mobile makeup artist service in the warmer Canberra seasons. Securing a booking well in advance of your date is strongly recommended.

FAQ

We are a mobile makeup artist service that services the entire Canberra (ACT) region and surrounding NSW regions including Queanbeyan, Bungendore, Braidwood, Yass, Murrumbateman, and Goulburn.

In some circumstances, we also will consider areas in Sydney & Melbourne (mainly for extended media and fashion projects or specialised commercial work). In addition to the Southern Highlands or South Coast for weddings.

Whilst we are aiming to gradually expand our service area, some distances may not be suitable but still encourage you to enquire based on our listed areas if you feel the location of your event is in a similar proximity.

We highly recommend booking well in advance if this is the case. From a business perspective we need to ensure our scheduling will not clash with your event or other clients events.

From a customer perspective, we prefer to be honest and recommend that you consider travel charges before booking your event. It may be more cost effective for you to engage a local mobile makeup artist service if your location is remote from Canberra or not listed here. We encourage everyone to support local business – there’s absolutely enough work for everyone!

We like to take a pragmatic approach to sourcing ethical products. In short, we prefer to opt out of animal tested products. When it comes to vegan and organic products, we believe the cosmetic industry is slowly seeing development in quality. 

Where possible, we aim to accommodate client preferences, however in our experience we are yet to find a completely effective organic product range that compares in quality to traditional major cosmetic brand product ranges and several of our selected boutique sellers/suppliers.

We are always happy to discuss product preferences and allergy requirements.

All bookings are confirmed with a non-refundable deposit. This is calculated at 30% of your selected service (including applicable travel charges) and based on the amount of people scheduled. 

This also covers the cost of ensuring products are available for your event well in advance of your booking. 

Once you have submitted the online form on the bookings page you will receive a call to confirm your booking. We will contact you to confirm the details of your booking, provide deposit details/instructions, and assist you by answering any questions you may have.

Of course, as a mobile makeup artist service in Canberra we are registered with the Australian Business Register and ATO to operate our business in Australia. For reference our ABN is 11747 448 456.

If you are just looking for makeup lessons – we do offer one-on-one lessons to clients. Check out our SERVICES page.

At present we are not hiring, however, our business is growing and we are actively exploring expansion within a new business structure. As such, we currently do not have employees as a mobile makeup artist in Canberra.

However, in future we are interested in supporting high achieving makeup students for work experience through registered TAFE and accredited education providers as part of our future business plan. 

As such, we are currently accepting expressions of interest in two categories.

  1. Education Institutions who may wish to engage our services to teach makeup techniques or would like to give their students unpaid work experience.
  2. Qualified makeup professionals are welcome to submit portfolios and resumes if they are interested in being apart of the GLAMOURIZE team in future.

We do not provide: Hair Styling, Skin Care, Tanning, Waxing, Manicures, Pedicures, Massage or other Salon Treatments.

We specialise in makeup and personal styling services – but we are happy to recommend professionals that we have either worked with or have heard great things about!

GLAMOURIZE By Jasmine Lee is a covidsafe business. 

We follow all government recommended advise when conducting our services. Many hygienic practices such as cleaning brushes and sanitising hands have long been a standard health and safety practice that we have adhered to well before the heightened awareness of reducing the spread of covid-19.

Due to the close proximity to our clients when providing our service we wear face masks and request that group bookings respect social distancing requirements where possible.

Please be aware, should any client display flu or cold like symptoms, we have a right to refuse service until suitable testing (i.e. RAT Swab Testing as a minimum) has cleared an individual/s of the possible risk of infection. 

Non-refundable cancellation costs may apply if returning a positive result or the inability to provide and complete your own test upon request.

Sometimes cancellations are unavoidable.

In the event we cannot facilitate our service due to our own fault such as illness, injury, or unforeseen business impact – we will refund your deposit to your preferred bank account (standard bank transfer times will apply).

In the event of a confirmed government lockdown that may prohibit our ability to deliver our service – we may be able to refund your deposit to your preferred bank account provided products and materials have not already been allocated (standard bank transfer times will apply). As a guide, should a lockdown occur less than a week from your date we may need to charge the non-refundable deposit for materials.

However, we can also hold the deposit and reschedule for you at the next foreseeable date. Keep in mind, rescheduling can be extremely advantageous. In our experience, everyone who is impacted generally in this lockdown situation wants to rebook at the earliest possible convenience so this ‘extended holding deposit’ option can be wise.

In the event there is a change of mind, acts of god (i.e. adverse weather conditions), or cancellation due to a clients preferences or unforeseen circumstances the 30% booking deposit is non-refundable. We need to cover the cost of obtained products and reduce the loss from an opportunity cost perspective from missing out on other potential customers at that time.

We have a wealth of experience in providing professional makeup services in this region since 2007. 

We have competed in several makeup competitions in the past and received several awards.

As a mobile makeup service we do not have a studio – Instead, we come directly to you! We will discuss what basic ammenities you have on location but we will also arrange and bring all products required. If there is something in particular you would like to use, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Yes, of course we do, please complete our online form from our BOOKINGS page, we will contact you to discuss personalised package deals for bridal parties and other group events. We will also be able to discuss your access to any current promotional offers.

We primarily accept bank transfer and cash payment methods. We are currently working on supplying a credit card payment facility and PayPAL facility via website (accepting all major credit cards – COMING SOON!). Please keep in mind we do charge an engagement non-refundable deposit for secure bookings and cosmetic products.

We are trained to discuss and assess with every client their skin, their individual needs, and any allergies they may have. We confirm with all customers, that to the best of their knowledge, that they have not had any skin reactions or allergies prior to application of cosmetic products. In the event a customer has a pre-existing known allergy we will require a doctor or skin specialist recommendation for appropriate products to be as safe as possible.

We are happy to work with anyone, including customers with disabilities or special needs. We do require that in this instance that this is disclosed prior to the booking by the customer to assess if a support person is required or any other considerations will need to be made to accomodate their needs as best we can.

We encourage you to discuss with us any concerns you may have regarding cosmetic products. It’s also worth while to do you your own research and if you are unsure – seek out medical health professionals and skin specialists for advice before testing various cosmetic products.
